Summary
Bud's Goods & Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. The Custodian plays a key role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our spaces, performing routine cleaning, sanitization, and light maintenance tasks. Job Duties
- General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas, including floors, carpets, walls, windows, and ceilings.
- Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper), and ensure fixtures are in working order.
- Trash Removal: Empty and dispose of waste and recycling materials in appropriate receptacles; replace liners as needed.
- Floor Care: Perform regular floor maintenance such as waxing, buffing, and spot-cleaning spills or stains.
- Sanitization: Use cleaning products to disinfect frequently touched surfaces like doorknobs, handrails, desks, and counters to maintain hygiene standards.
- Minor Repairs: Handle small maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and fixing minor plumbing or equipment issues.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring sufficient stock levels and timely reorder when necessary.
- Facility Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify and report potential safety hazards, maintenance issues, or repairs needed.
- Outdoor Maintenance: Maintain external areas such as sidewalks, entryways, and parking lots by sweeping, shoveling snow, or removing debris as required.
- Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist with setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment for events or meetings and return areas to their original condition afterward.
- Equipment Support: Clean components of the facilities machinery in order to maintain efficient operation and prevent down time.
- Record keeping: Maintain detailed records of areas cleaned

Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Certifications (Optional): Certifications in specialized cleaning techniques or safety training (e.g., OSHA compliance, Bloodborne Pathogens Certification) may be advantageous.
- 1-2 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning roles is preferred
- Experience in similar environments, such as schools, offices, or manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with Cleaning Equipment and Supplies:
- Experience using cleaning tools (e.g., vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners) and chemicals safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of light repairs, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, or fixing minor fixtures, may be a plus.
- Prior work in environments with unique cleaning or safety needs (e.g., healthcare, food service, or manufacturing desirable)
