Your Role as Assistant Store Manager: As a key member of our leadership team, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to:

• Drive sales and achieve production goals
• Mentor and develop our talented staff
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting store environment
• Implement effective loss prevention strategies
• Contribute to budget management and financial performance
• Represent The Salvation Army positively in the community

Payrate: $15/hr

Qualifications & Skills We Value:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree a plus!)
• 2+ years of retail experience (thrift store experience appreciated)
• Valid driver's license
• Strong communication skills in English
• Tech-savvy with POS systems and basic computer programs
• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment

Leadership Opportunities:

• Train and mentor store staff
• Contribute to performance reviews and team development
• Manage time and attendance using our payroll system

Physical Aspects of the Role:

• Active position involving standing, walking, and occasional lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Manual dexterity and clear vision required

Work Environment:

• Vibrant store setting with moderate noise levels
• Occasional travel to other locations for work or training
• Comfortable in a retail environment with varying temperatures

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
