Global financial services leader has an immediate need for a full-stack engineer with excellent hands on TypeScript/JavaScript and either Python or Java skills to join their growing team. The individual in this role will join a world class technology team that leads the industry in applying technology to solve real world, business challenges. They will partner with a wide range of stakeholders including business and technology teams to understand their requirements, design and build innovative applications.
Responsibilities:
- Work across the full stack, building scalable solutions that meet the needs of end users and the business.
- Lead new projects from partnering with end users and requirements gathering, to design, development, and deployment of solutions.
- Work effectively within a team based environment. The ability to excel as an individual contributor within a collaborative environment is key to success.
- Participate in all aspects of agile development.
- Work primarily in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and with Python or Java.
- Partner with designers and both front and backend engineers to create API's.
- Experience working with business stakeholders at all levels of seniority with a financial services company or leading fintech is preferred.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and capital markets is required.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industry experience in a professional software engineering or development role at a top financial services, fintech, or technology company.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with end users to build and deliver software solutions that meet the needs of the business.
- Significant development experience with web languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and/or CSS.
- Hands-on experience with Python, (core) Java, or C++ is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Demonstrated experience developing products with clear and intuitive UX/UI.
- Experience managing design and development decisions for production-level software.
The expected annual base salary for this position is $200,000 to $250,000.
