Position Summary
Marquee Legal is seeking a dynamic and experienced Full Desk Legal Recruiter to join our team. This role combines business development and recruitment responsibilities, focusing on placing attorneys and legal support professionals in direct hire, contract, and project-based roles. The ideal candidate will have proven success in building client relationships and sourcing top-tier legal talent in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
Develop and maintain relationships with law firms, in-house legal departments, and other potential clients.
Identify client staffing needs and present Marquee Legals tailored solutions.
Conduct client meetings to understand hiring goals, organizational culture, and job specifications.
Negotiate contract terms and placement fees with clients.
Recruitment:
Source, interview, and evaluate candidates for attorney and legal support roles, including paralegals, legal assistants, legal secretaries, and document review professionals.
Leverage job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals to build a robust talent pipeline.
Match qualified candidates with client needs, ensuring a strong fit for both parties.
Manage the recruitment process from sourcing to placement, including candidate interviews, client submissions, and follow-ups.
Market Knowledge:
Stay informed about trends in the legal industry, including salary expectations, market demands, and practice area growth.
Provide market insights to clients and candidates to establish Marquee Legal as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1+ years of successful experience in attorney recruitment and legal support recruitment.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the legal field (as a recruiter, paralegal, legal assistant, or attorney) is preferred but not required.
Business Development: Proven track record of securing new business and managing client relationships.
Recruitment Skills: Strong ability to source, interview, and place candidates in legal roles.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple searches and client accounts simultaneously.
