Job Details
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bookkeeper to join our bookeeping and tax services team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing client financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in GAAP, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial statements. If you are passionate about numbers, have a knack for solving complex accounting puzzles, and have a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
2. Process company payroll using Quickbooks and ADP payroll systems.
3. Conduct regular audits to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
4. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
5. Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
6. Use your problem-solving skills to uncover and resolve puzzling accounting issues.
7. Collaborate with the finance team to improve and streamline accounting procedures.
8. Assist with tax preparation and filing activities.
9. Maintain complete filing system to support financial records.
10. Assist clients with complex tax issues get them straightened out, often converting them to long-term clients!
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role within the finance industry.
2. Proficiency in GAAP, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial statements.
3. Experience with payroll processing using Quickbooks and ADP systems.
4. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a knack for uncovering and resolving complex accounting issues.
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.
6. Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Quickbooks, and other accounting software.
7. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, work independently, and deliver results in a timely manner.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not necessary.
10. Continuing education as well as support of Enrolled Agent certification will be paid for by the company!
