About the Job
SumBridge is hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our client’s team. The role is permanent, will train onsite in Mill Creek and then will transition into a hybrid role with remote time. Compensation is $70-100k DOE. Our client works in the consulting industry and this will be their primary Bookkeeper and work closely with their project managers and leadership teams.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Accounting functions, including time and expense reporting to assist client invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, journal entries, etc. and financial statements
- Financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
- Payroll processing, timesheets, benefits and retirement plan, with Office Manager
- Manage employee medical benefits—including plan selection, enrollment, and payroll deductions
- Taxes, including monthly state business tax preparation, city business tax preparation, county property tax listing, annual financial data for multiple states for outside tax preparer. This can include Canada.
- Coordinate with project managers and leadership to track financial performance of projects through job costing and analysis
- Proactively develop new ideas and solutions to improve financial management of office
- File/track/renew all necessary licenses and business insurance
- Maintain vendor and customer files (with office manager help)
- Assist leadership in budgeting and planning process
Job Qualifications:
- 8+ years of finance/accounting experience, preferably as a full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant
- Formal accounting education preferred, but can be supplemented with requisite experience
- Preferred experience in a professional services environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with different personalities
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Initiative and ability to work well independently and with others
- Experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
