FSRI - Clinician, Mount Pleasant Academy - The City of Providence

Mount Pleasant Academy is seeking an independently licensed clinician to work in one of the state’s premiere day treatment programs for children ages 4-14 with psychiatric challenges. Work as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary treatment team providing individual and group therapy, family support, crisis management, and milieu supervision.  We seek professionals who love to work with children and help to bring out their best. Excellent working conditions, 220-day work year.  Must have Rhode Island  LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

Position Summary: Responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and clinical counseling services for students and families. Collaborates on cases with case managers and other service providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services to students and families. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed and participates in the Agency’s on-call emergency services provision rotation schedule.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in human services related field required and LICSW, LMFT, LMHC.
• Experience with ED/BD children required.
• Computer skills desired.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.
• Bilingual skills desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.

Physical Requirements: This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:

• Travel to and from students’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed.
