We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Supervisor to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality in our production processes. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and dedicated professional with a strong background in food processing, sanitation, and safety regulation compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring our products meet and exceed the stringent standards our customers have come to expect from us.
Responsibilities:
As a FSQA Supervisor, your primary role will be to lead and manage all aspects of our food safety and quality assurance programs. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising and mentoring a team of FSQA professionals, ensuring they are adequately trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
2. Overseeing the implementation of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles in our production processes.
3. Conducting regular audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality standards.
4. Collaborating with other departments to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
5. Investigating any food safety or quality incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
6. Staying abreast of the latest developments in food safety and quality assurance, and ensuring our policies and procedures are always up to date.
7. Reporting on FSQA performance to senior management and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of FSQA Supervisor, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety and quality assurance role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with GFSI, SQF, HACCP, and other relevant food safety and quality standards.
3. A solid understanding of food processing and sanitation practices.
4. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
7. A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field would be an advantage.
