We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) Manager. This exciting role is critical to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our food safety and quality standards are not just met, but exceeded. The successful candidate will be a key player in managing and maintaining our Quality Management Systems, conducting quality audits, and implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Food Science and Food Manufacturing to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance program, ensuring we adhere to the highest standards of food safety and quality.
2. Implement, manage, and maintain Quality Management Systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
3. Conduct regular Quality Audits to assess compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and other relevant standards.
4. Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance principles, ensuring a well-informed, compliant workforce.
5. Work closely with production teams to optimize food processing methods, ensuring product quality and efficiency.
6. Establish and maintain a robust sanitation program, ensuring our manufacturing environment is consistently clean and safe.
7. Lead investigations into any quality or food safety incidents, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures as necessary.
8. Continually monitor and analyze quality data, using this information to drive continuous improvement in our food safety and quality systems.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a FSQA managerial role in the food manufacturing industry.
3. Proven expertise in GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and other relevant food safety and quality standards.
4. Strong knowledge of Food Processing and Quality Management Systems.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret quality data and use this information to drive improvement.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
8. Certified in Food Safety and Quality Assurance would be a plus.
9. Experience in conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions.
10. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures in a food manufacturing environment.
