Frozen Food Clerk/Stocker - Quillins

Summary: To provide quality customer service by keeping frozen food stocked throughout the Frozen Food Department. Proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position is necessary to satisfy customer needs and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to work variable shifts
• Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner consistent with store safety policies and procedures.
• Opens cartons, pricing items accurately and legibly (if required) Keeps management informed of pricing problems or discrepancies.
• Keeps perishable merchandise rotated in accordance with product code dates. Pulls out-of-code merchandise.
• Presents (faces) all products in assigned sections in accordance with department procedures.
• Assists in receiving and unloading of merchandise. Checks frozen food deliveries, counts, quality and conditions.
• Assists in building department displays for maximum sales and turnover.
• Handles damaged and spoiled products according to department procedures and assists in controlling the level of damage goods.
• Performs price checks as requested
• Retrieves items that customer are unable to reach, lift or find.
• Maintains good housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policies and applicable health regulations.
• Assists with cleanup of spills, breakages and other maintenance duties as assigned.
• Participates in training activities to increase personal skill level, to improve overall department processes and customer service
• Performs other duties as assigned by the department head or other management personnel
• Provides light supervision and training of other associates when assigned.
• Meets the physical requirement to perform the job functions listed above.
