A member of the Quality Assurance Department, the Frontline Technician is responsible for verification of pre- and post-production analytical analysis, feedback and adjustments to specific work orders in order to ensure a compliant finished product. The position will analyze samples, coordinate a response, instruct Operations partners on respective corrective steps and verify/audit the finished goods results after production has been completed to ensure compliance to company and customer specifications. The position will also interact with customers to submit finished product samples, Certificate of Analysis, and lead continuous improvement projects relative to product and process improvements. The QA Lead or Coordinator will assume responsibilities in the absence of this position.
Pay Range: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am
Schedule: Night Shift
Location: Fresno, CA
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure completion of analytical testing, color and sensory; makes adjustments as needed to ensure product is in spec prior to filling.
- Ensures that the formulas are pulled and updated for the next production daily.
- Immediately report and escalate failures as encountered during evaluation process against expected specification ranges.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance Technicians, Product Development, and Operations in problem solving/root causing and preventing recurrence of failures.
- Submit BOM change request documentation as instructed based on historical product performance analysis or other relevant triggers.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of results are inputted in ERP system, or customer database (if needed).
- Completes the McDonald’s Sensory testing as specified by the customer.
- Serve as trainer.
- All other projects and tasks as assigned by QA Leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge on aseptic, canning, hot/cold fill processes with experience on executing quality control and assurance verification activities.
- A good communicator of respective information and ability to build strong relationships with minimal supervision.
- Successfully demonstrates good decision making when making batch adjustments.
- Must be able to perform job in allotted time.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma and a minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent years of training and experience.
- Preferred background and knowledge of on-the-job training in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred experience in critical thinking and problem solving.
