Essential Responsibilities
The mission of the Front Desk team member is to ensure that patients’ interactions with the office are handled in a compassionate, enthusiastic, and courteous manner with a heightened awareness of achieving an elevated experience for the recipient.
- Handle all communications (phone calls, mail, emails) throughout the office, notifying patients of upcoming appointments, and responding to emergencies
- Monitor Patient Flow, ensuring prompt customer education, authorization of insurance prior to appointments, and regularly filing patient claims
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information while following HIPAA regulations
- Maintain the accounts receivables by recording/updating financial details, collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients; filing/collecting third-party claims
- Perform cash drawer reconciliation, daily production reports, and prepare bank deposits for the Office Coordinator
- Monitor customer service and Net Promotor Surveys (NPS)
- Maintains stock of office supplies and equipment, monitors inventory, coordinates with vendors for shipping and receiving
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong communications skills, a bubbly personality and the will to serve
- Mathematically inclined
- Detail-oriented and punctual
- Strong computer skills and data input capabilities
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a patient/customer facing medical setting (volunteer service/internships will be considered)
- Reliable transportation (travel between work locations required)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Additional Information:
- Pay range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (dependent upon experience)
- 30-35 hours/week including Saturdays
