Position Summary: This non-exempt position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front office. As a working lead, this position is also responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities performed by the front office team and various other duties as assigned by management.
Reports To: Front End Supervisor
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily front office operations and delegates assignments.
2. Assists management in developing and implementing short- and long-term work plans and objectives for departmental functions.
3. Ensures that all front office business processes are performed accurately and timely.
4. Assist front office staff in understanding/implementing practice policies and procedures they pertain to front office.
5. Develop guidelines for prioritizing workflow, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying workflow as necessary.
6. Ensures front office is staffed properly.
7. Establish and maintain an efficient and responsive patient flow system.
8. Ensures that offices are open and closed according to procedures.
9. Responsible for assisting front office staff in every aspect of the front office daily.
10. Assist with new hire training.
11. Completes & evaluates all Annual Performance Reviews.
12. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required to travel to other locations if coverage is needed.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of medical practices and terminology.
· Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
· Strong customer service and organizational skills.
· Must be able to problem solve, delegate and skilled in verbal and written communication.
· Ability to set priorities among multiple requests, interact with medical, administrative staff and patients effectively.
· Ability to identify problems, organize and analyze information and recommend solutions.
Education: High school Diploma or GED
Experience: Minimum of two years of directly related experience
Working Conditions: OSHA Category 3: Involves no regular exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue or tasks that involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids or tissue are not a condition of employment. This position will cover 4 locations and must have the ability to travel to each site.
