Reports to: FOH Manager & Director
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the front of the house team, including cashiers, hosts/hostesses, and dining room attendants. Provide clear direction, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth operations during the shift.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues or complaints. Train and coach team members to deliver the Chick-fil-A standard of service and hospitality.
- Front Counter Operations: Oversee front counter operations, including order taking, cash handling, and order accuracy. Ensure prompt and efficient service to maintain optimal service times.
- Drive-Thru Operations: Coordinate and manage drive-thru operations to ensure speedy and accurate order taking, payment processing, and delivery of orders. Monitor and address any issues related to drive-thru efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Dining Room Management: Ensure cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the dining area. Monitor dining room flow, cleanliness, and customer comfort. Address any issues promptly.
- Shift Management: Manage shift schedules, breaks, and labor allocation to ensure adequate staffing levels and smooth operations. Monitor and control labor costs while maintaining exceptional service standards. Responsible for opening or closing of the restaurant.
- Cash Handling: Oversee cash handling procedures, including cash register reconciliation, safe counts, and deposit preparation. Ensure accuracy and adherence to cash handling policies and procedures.
- Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing food safety and sanitation standards. Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and take appropriate actions to address any concerns.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, managers, and other departments to ensure efficient operations and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the shift, including drive-thru operations.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and reports related to sales, labor, customer feedback, and any operational issues. Provide necessary reports to the Front of the House Manager and Director.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a kitchen management or leadership role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of back of the house operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures.
- Proficiency in managing inventory, placing orders, and controlling costs.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the restaurant.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with restaurant management systems.
