- Analyze, design, implement, test, release, and support code using ColdFusion and other web technologies
- Take a project from inception to completion as the primary responsible party
- Work within a team of developers for larger projects
- Troubleshoot web site issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Implement upgrades and modifications to existing web systems
- Research and test new technologies, then report findings to appropriate staff
- Work with program directors in the development of new web site applications
- Write clean, structured code from specifications, conforming to established methodology and standards
- Write and revise program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides
- Security Awareness: Understands typical vulnerabilities in web coding and proactively develops code to avoid them. Understands issues such as SQL injection, buffer overflow, etc. and is able to avoid them by writing good code.
- Testing Skills: Knows the difference between unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing. Is able to write comprehensive test plans and execute them.
