Front End Software Engineer - Stand8

We are seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Software Engineer to join our team responsible for building and maintaining high-traffic, branded websites and services. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects that power major online platforms, bringing engaging and interactive experiences to users. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other internal teams to enhance user experience, drive innovation, and push the boundaries of performance and stability.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize code to ensure scalability and best practices.
• Collaborate across technology teams to define and implement standards for code quality.
• Build and maintain performant, scalable streaming applications for web and living room platforms.
• Design and implement adaptive, high-quality UIs with a clean, maintainable codebase.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows, app build processes, and team task planning.
• Work closely with product teams to ensure timely and quality releases.
• Provide coaching and feedback to fellow software engineers.
• Triage and resolve bugs, ensuring a reliable user experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in web development using ES6 and frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular.

• Experience across the stack, including state management, Nuxt/Next.js, CSS, and API integration.
• Proficiency with build tools like npm, gulp, and webpack.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, GraphQL, and Backend for Frontend patterns.
• Strong understanding of scalable design, performance, and reliability.
• Experience with TDD and E2E testing, and responsive design practices.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in an agile team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Passion for exploring new technologies and comfort working beyond your core skill set.

Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $70 - $80/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
