As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for giving our guests the best hospitality experience they can have by:
- Assign work and supervise team member performance in all Front Office procedures including, but not limited to, guest check-in and check-out, lobby traffic and flow, luggage assistance, telephone answering and determining room rates and availability
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximize room occupancy
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues and complaints in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints
- Schedule, assign daily work, lead pre-shift meetings, inform and train team members
- Monitor, observe and assist in evaluating team member performance
- Monitor lobby traffic and adjust staffing accordingly
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
- Performs any other duties as requested by your manager
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school education or equivalent is required, with one to two years' supervisory experience in hospitality or other customer-related position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: You must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills. The ability to access, retrieve and leverage info from the hotel property management system is expected. You must also be able to handle cash or credit transactions and have Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency. General office equipment and cash register operation knowledge is expected.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
