Stokes Counseling Services is a leading mental health private practice in Connecticut. We're a group practice made up of licensed clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCA, LMSW, MFTA, APRN, PMHNP) who provide an array of counseling services and individual medication management. Headquartered in Naugatuck, CT, we also deliver telehealth services state-wide and in-home mental health therapy to specific areas.
We provide a strength-based, solution-focused approach to alleviate unwanted symptoms and utilize a variety of modalities, including solution-focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to increase positive change. In addition to our friendly and down-to-earth approach, we only employ therapists who are licensed to practice therapy in the State of Connecticut.
Position DescriptionAs the office receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, providers, and community partners. We are looking for someone who is great with people, understands the complexities of mental health, and is a team player for a team of passionate mental health clinicians. You will understand the need to be patient and courteous and deliver superior customer service to each new caller and client who walks into our office.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling new appointments
- Insurance Verification and Authorizations
- Manage a waiting room of 15 people at any given time
- Problem-solve incoming inquiries from clients and providers
- Light housekeeping so our space is always welcoming
- Filing, Faxing, Copying, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A love for working with people!
- Experience with behavioral health services is always preferred
- Strong computer skills
- MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
- Previous Customer Service experience is helpful
- Must be efficient with strong attention to detail
- Understand confidentiality and uphold the highest standards
- Must have strong skills in organization and planning
- Ability to work independently and good problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage projects that require multi-tasking
- Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment when needed
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Job Type:
- Full-time (Monday-Friday) (8:30 am - 5:30 pm)
Salary:
- $19.00/hour
