Position Summary:
Greets, assists, and directs all incoming calls, visitors, deliveries, and customers. Responsible for providing a strong customer service presence at the front desk to make everyone feel welcomed.

Responsibilities:- Answer phones, route callers, take messages and provide general information to callers in a courteous and professional manner. Greets customers, visitors, and patients while providing direction. Determines the nature of their business and assists visitors and guests to various locations on the FSW campus as needed.
- Responds in a timely manner to member requests, inquiries, and concerns. If unable to satisfy the member, locates the appropriate employee who can.
- Checks each member/guest into the Fitness Center. Provides guests with a guest registration to complete and collects payment for the guest fee. Follows guest check in procedures.
- Distributes keys and equipment. Folds and disperses towels on an on-going basis. Retrieves towels from laundry room and cycles towels through washer/dryer as needed to keep towels stocked.
- Reviews “Read This First” book each shift worked to keep informed of any changes to classes, programs, or special activities, and for any announcements/notes pertaining to the Fitness Center operations.
- Knowledgeable of member names/locker numbers as well as staff names and the departments in which they work.
- Uses the established sign-up system to reserve RB, WB, and SQ for members and staff. Records when PB equipment is checked out.
- Manages program enrollment/money transactions such as guest fees, personal training fees, swim lesson fees, camp fees, etc.
- Cooperates in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the front desk. Completes all tasks that are on the closing checklist at the end of the night.
- Assists with Perkville Rewards program by redeeming points for reward members and giving out associated merchandise. Also assists manager/supervisor in restocking of Perkville supplies as well as front desk inventory items.
- Prepares daily deposit/cash drawer report for MOD.
- Assists other departments as needed. i.e., housekeeping, youth development, aquatics, etc.
- Participates in special fitness center events.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
