A busy and friendly dermatology practice is looking for an enthusiastic Front office medical receptionist.
Classification: Hourly
Pay Range: Starting at $18.00
Department: Aurora Front Office
Reports to: Aurora Front Office Supervisor
Front Office Essential Job duties:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some scanning is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time 40 hours position. Days and hours of work are between Monday through Friday, 7:15 am – 5:30 PM; Saturday 7:45 am – 12:30 PM
Travel
To other office location as required.

Front Office Essential Job duties:
- Assisting patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Checking in and out patients.
- Data Entry.
- Verifying and updating patient information including demographics and insurance.
- Verifying Referrals and Authorizations for services.
- Taking calls in a multi-line phone system.
- Processing and logging payments for copays and cosmetic procedures/product.
- Scheduling appointments and procedures.
- Managing high volume schedules for numerous providers.
- Scanning and attaching a high volume of documents.
- Managing medical records.
- Processing faxes and referrals.
- Various administrative tasks as required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be proficient with verbal and written communication.
- Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
- Excellent Multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), HIPAA, insurance and referrals preferred.
- Basic Computer Skills. (Microsoft Word, Excel, 80 wpm)
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- EMR knowledge
- Data entry
- Know how to operate computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- Proficient with written, communication and basic math skills
- Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA
