About the Job
Job Purpose: Serves patients by greeting and helping them in a professional and courteous manner; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts. Front Desk Coordinators must interact smoothly with the back-office personnel as well.
Job Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining organized the reception and waiting area at all times.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Reports to Clinical Operations Manager.
Skills/Qualifications: Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing, Professionalism, Quality Focus. Must have High a School Diploma and administrative and 2 or more years' clerical experience in a medical office setting.
Expected Goals: Focus on customer service satisfaction, empathy and respect; excellent verbal communication, good organizational skills, good judgment and decision making, conflict management abilities, emphasis in teamwork, interpersonal skills, and dependability.
This role is Monday - Friday, 8a-5p EST. Though rare, candidates must be available to work beyond the established scheduled (extended hours), when required by the business.

This position requires the individual to undergo and pass an L2 Background check through AHCA (Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration) before their first day of employment. This process includes fingerprinting.
