Job Summary
Sendik's Fresh2Go Associate is responsible for delivering “best in class” customer service to all guests. The Sendik’s Fresh2Go Associate is responsible for working in all areas of the store, which includes but is not limited to, ensuring that customers groceries are checked out and bagged, packaging products, pricing and labeling products for the cases and sales floor, ensuring shelves are stocked and rotated and the store is clean and well organized.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve customers while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
- Engaging with customers in order to create a warm and welcoming environment
- Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions and making suggestions
- Accurately and efficiently checking-out customer orders; including accurate cash-handling
- Ability to achieve and maintain a product scanning speed of 22 items per minute
- Assist with bagging groceries as needed
- Assist customers with carry-out and car-side deliveries as needed
- Assist with gathering carts and baskets as needed
- Stock and rotate all products throughout the store, including but not limited to, products in the
- Bakery, Dairy/Frozen, Deli, Grocery, Meat/Seafood and Produce Departments
- Minor food preparation, including preparing paninis per order
- Complete daily cleaning duties throughout the store
- Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
- Assist with all other store duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of equipment
- Eagerness to interact with customers
- Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team
- Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
