Our Team
As the Freight Forwarding Pricing Specialist, your role involves supporting our sales and operations teams by sourcing pricing aligned with the company's service offerings (ocean, air, land). Responsibilities include providing quotes to customers, negotiating rates with ocean carriers, airlines, and other vendors, and analyzing market trends in ocean and air freight pricing. You will ensure compliance with FMC regulations and air 3PL business standards. This position requires comprehensive national-level quote and pricing knowledge, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in multiple software applications.
What You Will Do
- Analyzing and monitoring ocean and air freight pricing data and market trends
- Compiling rates for bids, daily quotes, and customer tariff updates
- Conducting competitive analysis to determine pricing competitiveness
- Preparing and reviewing pricing proposals for various shipping services
- Assessing cost structures and profit margins to optimize pricing strategies
- Keeping abreast of industry regulations and trade dynamics that may impact pricing
- Generating reports and providing recommendations to senior management based on pricing analysis
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information is maintained in company systems
- Supporting pricing negotiations and contracts with carriers and customers
- Collecting origin and destination charges to finalize bids
- Assisting sales with creative service offerings and drawing in additional services beyond the request
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in international and domestic sea freight (FCL and LCL) and airfreight pricing
- Experience creating quotes for carriers and customers
- Experience negotiating pricing rates with carriers and customers
What Will Put You Ahead
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Logistics or Supply Chain
- Experience complying with customs and TSA regulations
- Experience working cross functionally to optimize strategies and support business growth
