Summary
The Freight Brokerage Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for operating and supporting a portfolio of new and existing customers through the development of transportation providers. Develop a carrier coverage strategy and have full autonomy for supporting a customer's transportation coverage needs. Directly engage with cross functional teams as needed to build a network of service providers that allows them the ability to foster an effective customer relationship.
Essential Functions
+ Develop relationships with transportation providers to maximize penetration of customer freight portfolio through soliciting capacity
+ Leads small group of SMA's as a mentor. Supports all parties with carrier related issues as needed. Staffing performance management and development of SMAs to ensure established performance goals within the team
+ Tenders accept/reject loads, creates loads, sets appointments, dispatches, tracks and traces loads, root cause problem solves issues, and resolves/communicates to carrier and/or customer as appropriate
+ Negotiate rates with transportation providers to ensure that margins are achieved for commission targets and account goals
+ Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper all customer's needs are met in the agreed upon time period
Additional Responsibilities
+ Continuous improvement in all segments of the business
+ Schedules and dispatches while ensuring compliance of Federal, State, and Local regulations. Responsible for timely updating of load statuses to the TMS.
+ Maintain a positive employee related climate and maintain a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level while having availability 24/7/365 for responsibilities
+ Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation Information :
The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.
Compensation ranges for the position are below:
Pay Type :
Salaried
Minimum Pay Range:
$47,000
Maximum Pay Range:
$50,000
The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
