France GV Payroll Supervisor - Spencer Thomas Group

Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants under our EMEA HCM pratice.

Our client is looking for a Payroll Supervisor to support the Payroll operations team through daily activities related to the payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure smooth operations and team efficiency. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.
• Payroll Management: Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, adhering to legal and organizational standards.
• Activity Coordination: Plan, organize, and prioritize payroll activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and deadlines.
• System Oversight: Utilize SAP Zadig to monitor payroll operations, identify and resolve discrepancies, and optimize system use.
• Compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Problem-Solving: Act as the escalation point for payroll-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with HR and Finance teams to align payroll processes with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
• Reporting: Generate payroll reports and analysis to support management decisions.
• Onsite Presence: Be onsite in Saran three days a week to directly support and interact with the payroll team.

Required Qualification(s):

• Proven experience in payroll management, with a track record of supervising teams and ensuring accurate payroll delivery.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, local labor laws, and tax regulations in France.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage the team and liaise with other departments.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Saran three days a week.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• Familiarity with SAP Zadig or similar payroll systems is highly preferred, but not mandatory.

Duration: This is a project-based consulting opportunity with an estimated start date in January 2025 with an initial duration through September 2026 with the possibility of extending.
