About the Job
The Opportunity:
Simeio is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our finance team, reporting directly into the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). You will be driving financial planning and analysis to support the Company’s growth priorities and strategic initiatives. This includes forecasting, budgeting and reporting on business performance and trends, in addition to supporting the development of board and investor discussion materials. In addition, you will work with the CFO and other team members to create insightful analyses that support decision-making across various organizational functions. The right candidate for this role has the ability to think critically, has a strong analytical background and ability to produce valuable insights from data and is an operationally oriented and highly collaborative team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed annual budgets, building alignment with business partners and managing the forecast throughout the year.
- Manage and coordinate the annual budget process, business planning and forecasting/reforecasting cycles and measurement of company performance vs. budget.
- Help develop, implement and measure KPIs and prepare financial reporting with varying degrees of cadence as appropriate (weekly, monthly or quarterly).
- Proactively identify opportunities and gaps based on monitoring of KPIs and establish goals accordingly.
- Provide analytical and strategic support for discrete functional financial analyses across the organization (including detailed financial modeling to support recommendations).
- Support development of board, management and investor presentations.
- Help identify, analyze and support the execution of internal strategic projects, M&A and other corporate finance initiatives,
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a similar FP&A role within a company with a proven track record of growing and leading an FP&A team.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
- Experience building and refining standardized reporting and data pulls from NetSuite and FinancialForce (or equivalent). Strong experience with SQL or Power BI is a plus.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with the close of monthly financials and preparation of financial statements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a lot of responsibility.
- Ability to successfully work cross-functionally within an organization.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of work product accuracy and thoughtfulness.
- Ability to think strategically and effectively balance multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills, including an ability to communicate financial matters to non-financial personnel.
