Responsibilities:
As an FP&A Analyst, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Developing comprehensive financial models to support decision making.
2. Conducting detailed financial analysis to evaluate performance across the business.
3. Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
4. Assisting in the preparation and management of the company's budget and forecasts.
5. Providing insightful recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
6. Identifying trends and developments in competitive environments and presenting findings to senior management.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial plans align with business goals.
8. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the FP&A Analyst position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
3. Strong knowledge of the energy industry and its key financial drivers.
4. Exceptional financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present complex financial information to non-finance professionals.
7. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to the team’s success.
9. Knowledge of financial systems and databases, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
10. CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
