Job description:Job Summary
Team Leaders at AMETEK Paragon Medical are an integral part of the operations team. This role will direct the scheduled production plan in the Four Slide/Power Press departments and be responsible for Setup of Four Slide machines.
Shift: First (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Essential Job Functions:
- Execute daily scheduled production plan for the Four Slide and Power Press departments.
- Setup, adjust and operate Four Slide machines.
- Maintain tooling inventory, equipment, and supplies related to the departments.
- Review and complete required daily documentation, including daily GEMBA report-outs.
- Assist Four Slide/Press Setup Operators with troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor apprentices.
- Actively promote safety within department, including the appropriate use of proper PPE.

- Ability to setup, operate and trouble-shoot Four Slide machines.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail with an emphasis on quality work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required to meet customer demand.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Four Slide department of manufacturing required.
- Ability to setup, adjust and operate Four Slide machines at an expert level required.
- Ability to read and comprehend blue prints for production manufacturing.
- Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience preferred.
- Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
Physical Requirements:
Paragon Medical is a manufacturing environment. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position including sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. The employee is expected to perform actions that include bending, kneeling, or crouching, ascend up/down a ladder, reach, push, and/or pull objects from lower to a higher position or move horizontally from position-to-position. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted. Viual ability to read instructions and blueprints, as well as inspect parts to ensure it meets quality specifications. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work. The employee will be required to communicate with others and work in a noise environment.
