About the Job
American Drilling and Foundations is currently seeking a Foundation Drilling Hand for our Traveling Foundation Drilling Crew. This is an entry level laborer position responsible for safely and efficiently assisting the Foundation Driller during all drilling activities on construction sites. As part of the Capital Tower, DTSI and ADAF family you will be working for a company that has 30 plus years of experience in Telecommunications Construction. We are looking for a hands-on person who enjoys working outside and a change of jobsite regularly. You will play a pivotal part of a construction crew helping with anything from running heavy equipment to operating hand tools, shovels etc. Drilling on a site may be one day to one week. Then off to the next site and the next adventure.
A typical day for an Assistant Driller may include:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Use shovels, wrenches, and other hand tools frequently.
- Assist loading and unloading tools and equipment from support vehicles.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Complete all other tasks as instructed by the Drill Rig Operator
- CDL Strongly Preferred
You may be a good fit if you:
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Work effectively in individual and team settings.
- Come with a clean driving record.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical.
- Willing to work outside up to 6 days a week for 10-12 hour shifts.
- Carry 50-75 lbs. repeatedly.
- Able to travel 6 weeks at a time followed by a 7-10 day break
- Reliable with good attendance history.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Compensations
Starting Base Pay (Based on Experience): $23.00-$27.00
$2000 Sign on Bonus! Paid after 6 Months of continuous employment.
Employment Progress Reviews at 45 Days, 90 Days, 180 Days and 365 Days. Annually thereafter. Each with a potential for a RAISE based on performance.
Per Diem is paid out weekly starting at $100/day.
Generous end of the year bonuses.
Paid Travel to and from regular rotation breaks.
