The Position

ITS has an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator - Sunday - Wednesday (7:00am - 5:30pm) at our warehouse in Whitestown, IN.  This position reports to the Warehouse Area Manager and is responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment (forklift (clamp, push-pull, etc.) for the purpose of product receipt, storage and order fulfillment.  The Forklift Operator will also be responsible to become cross-trained on other distribution duties.  Additional duties include but are not limited to:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a sit down forklifts with attachments (forks, clamps, push pull), or other power equipment 80% of the specified shift
• Safely load and unload trailer, inbound and outbound stock
• Complete daily inspection of equipment
• Verify load accuracy; checking the load count, stability, and product damage. Report variances as necessary
• Assist in physical inventories
• Follow procedures for damaged equipment
• Verify requisitions, shipping locations and seals
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

The successful Candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

• Experience on electric forklifts (standup and order picker)
• Experience in a fast paced, distribution / logistics environment
• Strong team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines
• High school or GED equivalent
• Must be able to read / write English
• Must be able to be on a forklift and be on your feet for at least 8 hours a day
