Production Fork Truck Operator (FTO) Temp Position

Forklift Operator responsibilities include:
Working in our Production Department driving a forklift, unloading packaging materials and/or consumable products from incoming vehicles/trailers and stacking them to assigned places in the warehouse.
Prepare returnable/reusable (dunnage) packaging materials on pallets (might require to shrink wrap manually or strap)
Load trailers with pallets of returnable/reusable packing materials/dunnage as needed
Assisting to load with forklift material to Case erector machine,
If needed, identify material received damaged or shortages on receipts, communicate to Supervisor or area responsible employee
Based on production schedule supply raw materials to production line or production areas, replenish materials as needed for Production area
Keep warehouse area in order, consolidate like-product as needed
Assist primary area operator as needed (load cases with forklift, remove leftover cases and assign to warehouse location, maintain like-product together/organized)
Safety and quality requirements must be part of the job.
There will be some housekeeping/cleaning and rework duties assigned as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Shift
6:00AM-2:30 PM (1st shift) or
2:00 PM-10:30 PM (2nd shift)
Occasional OT required
start time is 4 am if working on 1st shift or End time is at 12:30am if working on 2nd shift.
Dress Code:
Full length pants
No shorts
Steel toe shoes (toe caps provided by plant short term, if needed. However, it\'s preferred that the resource have their own steel toes shoes.)
Safety glasses (provided by plant)
Ear plugs (available upon request)
No tank tops
No excessively loose or tight clothing
No watch/No jewelry
