Title: Forklift Operator - Dispatcher

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse

JOB SUMMARY:

To ship and receive finished goods items

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Load outbound freight using proper loading techniques and patterns.
• Direct inbound and outbound trailers safely through the gates and yard. Ensure that truck is backed up to the dock correctly and the wheels are chocked.
• Inspect trucks for sanitary and food safety concerns – enter into Safety Chain
• Record outbound freight in PRIMS using the tablet application
• Prepare materials and product for shipment to Brooklyn and various customers
• Identify damages
• Report shortages

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Perform inventory counts as required
• Maintain warehouse in clean orderly fashion
• Double wrap all pallets before shipment
• Ensure stretch wrapper settings are correct for the item being wrapped.
• Perform safety checks on material handling equipment before use.
• Charge material handling equipment after use. Add water to batteries as needed.
• Comply with company GMP policies and guidelines
• Other duties assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of experience as forklift operator
• Attention to detail
• Valid certification to operate forklift
• High school diploma
• Able to lift 80 lbs
