FORKLIFT OPERATOR - Spherion

Responsible for operating powered equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products, ensuring accuracy and safety in the warehouse environment.
Hours: 12-hour shifts, either 7:30 am to 7:30 pm or 7:30 pm to 7:30 am; no swing shifts.

Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials for approximately 80% of the shift.
Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accurate product count and selection.Verify the accuracy of inbound and outbound products, ensuring they are free of damage, match customer requirements, and are properly recorded.Maintain records and reports for inventory accuracy.Inspect equipment daily and report any variances or issues to management.Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power sources as necessary.Keep equipment and materials organized, clean, and orderly.Assist in physical inventories. Perform additional duties as assigned by management or customers.

Working hours: 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software. Familiarity with various types of forklifts and powered equipment. Basic understanding of inventory control and stock management processes.
Ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment ,changing batteries. Have organizational skills to ensure accurate placement and handling of products. Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.

1-4 years

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required). Valid forklift operator certification or successful completion of a forklift training program. Proven experience with safe and efficient forklift operation.
Ability to follow safety rules, work procedures, and operational instructions.Great written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration. Attention to detail with the ability to accurately count and inspect products.
Ability to work specified 12-hour shifts (7:30 am to 7:30 pm or 7:30 pm to 7:30 am).
