Forklift Mechanic – Keeping Operations Moving Safely and Efficiently
Are you a skilled mechanic with a knack for troubleshooting and maintaining forklifts and related equipment? We’re seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team. In this role, you’ll perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a fleet of forklifts, articulated lifts, company vehicles, and shipping docks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Your Role:
As a Forklift Mechanic, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production efficiency, and upholding safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance on forklifts, articulated lifts, and shipping docks.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems on forklifts and docks.
- Component Repair: Address mast and attachment issues, LP and diesel systems, and tire/wheel replacements.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct safety inspections before equipment returns to service, ensuring all repairs meet safety requirements.
- Documentation: Complete detailed and legible service logs for maintenance tasks.
- Work Area Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve issues and maintain operational continuity.
- Learning and Growth: Stay updated on new technical information and techniques to adapt to evolving technologies.
Working Conditions:
- Work both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to moderate noise, dust, and chemicals, all within OSHA-approved levels.
- Regular interaction with team members and occasional travel between facilities.
Schedule & Hours:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a set schedule.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience, including maintenance of various forklift brands such as Hyundai, Hyster, Cat, and Mitsubishi.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade school background preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial electricity (up to 440 volts is a plus).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screening.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work safely and follow company protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Follow verbal and written instructions, work efficiently, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
