About the Job
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Moving product around in department, helping areas in department.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products
- Perform order picking and fulfill customer orders accurately
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and locate products
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license to operate a forklift
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts such as reach truck, clamp truck, and pallet jack
- Proficient in basic math skills for inventory tracking purposes
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and materials handling
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an efficient workflow in the warehouse
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ability to work with uncomplicated machinery.
2. Must be able to read, write, and have basic understanding of math.
3. Must be able to read tape measure.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Periodic Inventory counts as required.
2. Any other duties commensurate with this job description as requested by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skill, Ability, Education and Experience:
*Skill- Ability to read and write, basic understanding of math. Physically able to perform physical labor. Ability to read tape measure.
*Ability- Learn within a fast paced environment, work with other employees in a cooperative manner, handle repetitive job duties.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Hand Trucks, Tape measure.
Working Environment:
Worker is subject to extreme heat (seasonally) temperature nearly 100 degrees. Workers are subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Physical Activities:
Stooping: Occasionally. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, using the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching: Occasionally. Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Constantly. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Constantly. For sustained periods of time.
Walking: Constantly. Not for long distances, but within work area, to retrieve work materials.
Pulling: Constantly. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting: Constantly. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
Fingering: Occasionally. Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with the fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping: Constantly. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling: Frequently. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Repetitive Motions: Constantly. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, head and/or fingers.
Physical Requirements:
Light/Medium Work: Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, an/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
