Longhorn Organics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to lead our construction teams and operations. As a pivotal team leader, you will oversee daily construction activities, supervise dedicated crew members, and ensure that all work meets our rigorous standards of quality and safety. Role and Responsibilities:
- Report daily progress and goals to the Superintendent, providing clear verbal and written updates.
- Plan, implement, and manage construction tasks according to priorities and project goals.
- Supervise employee attendance and evaluate the quality of work.
- Enforce safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Oversee and guide the use of machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Resolve on-site issues efficiently and peacefully.
- Allocate and delegate responsibilities among team members to maximize productivity.
- Train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to crew members.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and supplies are well-maintained and available for project needs.
- Perform installations of water filtration systems, equipment, piping, and related activities.
- Handle additional duties as assigned to support project success.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading construction teams or in LSS/water filtration operations.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Required Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong time management and staff management abilities.
- Competence in verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Excel and related project management software.
- PVC plumbing and HDPE fusion welding expertise.
- Skilled with general hand and shop tools, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Preferred Skills:
- Design skills in digital formats.
- Familiarity with Revit, Total Robotic Station, and survey tools.
- Facilities management experience.
- Certified in HDPE Fusion Welding.
- Knowledge of glass/acrylic handling and aquatic exhibit eco-system management.
- Experience in staff training and development.
