deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Radar Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) programs. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide radar technical expertise and support in the execution of Foreign Military Sales programs, ensuring the successful integration and sustainment of PEO MS programs for international partners.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide technical guidance and expertise on air and missile defense systems to support Foreign Military Sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with international partners to understand their requirements and assist in the customization of solutions to meet their country unique needs.
- Work closely with PEO MS program managers and other stakeholders to facilitate the successful execution of Foreign Military Sales programs and ensure adherence to program schedules, milestones, and technical specifications.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, and system documentation, to support FMS activities, generate regular reports on program progress, technical challenges, and solutions implemented.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and logistics specialists, to address technical issues and ensure program success and foster effective communication with international partners to build strong relationships and address their technical concerns.
- Provide training and technical support to international customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air and missile defense systems and serve as a liaison between PEO MS and foreign military counterparts to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure customer satisfaction
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in engineering or related technical field.
Experience Requirements:
- The successful candidate will possess 10+ years of relevant professional experience. 15 years of experience is required if Bachelor's degree is in a non-technical field.
- Demonstrated technical expertise with radars and radar systems.
- Experience in accomplishing the roles and responsibilities listed previously.
- Experience in Systems Engineering, Air and Missile Defense Systems or a related field.
- Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales processes and regulations.
- Travel required including overseas trips and Original Equipment Manufacturer facility visits.
