Catering Manager & Food Truck Manager
Summary of Position:
Food truck employee will be assisting with the running of all food truck events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to prepping the food truck before each event, interacting with guests during events and the breakdown of food truck at the end. During events you may either be receiving orders directly from guests and handling cash transaction or preparing the food to standards set by manager. Must be a team player and willing to jump in where needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Service
•Assemble and load all food and supplies for food truck functions for the scheduled location(s).
•Stock service window area with supplies such as utensils, bags, condiments, to-go containers.
•Greet customers as they approach the truck.
•Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
•Inform customers of daily specials.
•Take beverage and food orders.
•Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. (Manual tickets or electronic POS systems)
•Serve food and/or beverages to customers.
•Utilize approved food production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
•Assemble food products quickly, cleanly and to standards.
•Work with other staff members and be a team player.
•Clean truck, inside and out, as well as kitchen work areas. Clean spilled food or drink or broken dishes/bottles and removes empty bottles and trash.
•Properly store foods in designated areas following proper dating and labeling procedures.
Qualifications:
?Certificates: Maricopa County Food Managers Card or Employee Food Handlers Card
?A valid state driver license preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
?Ability to maintain stability, diplomacy and tact in difficult or challenging situations.
?Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
?Ability to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone.
?Considerable knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of foods and beverage items.
?Knowledge of related event coordination including but not limited to: audio-visual, décor, entertainment, tenting, exhibits, power etc.
?Understanding of event logistics (set up and design)
?Ability to bring special themes and menu ideas to the table for approval by management.
?Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, discretion and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
?Ability to make quick and effective decisions to benefit the team and client/guest.
