**Position: Food Truck Manager**
**Location: Remote/Traveling (Based in Spokane Valley)**
**Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE) + Tips**
Our team is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Food Truck Manager to join our innovative "Fish & Chips" food truck venture. The ideal candidate will be driven, possess excellent time management abilities, harbor a passion for hospitality, and find joy in preparing and serving high-quality meals.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct daily inventory checks of the truck.
- Ensure the truck is fully stocked before departing from the commissary kitchen.
- Drive the truck to and from designated locations for service.
- Fuel the truck and generator each morning.
- Refill propane tanks daily.
- Ability to work long shifts (12-14 hours) including travel time.
- Operate fryers to cook fish and fries to perfection.
- Maintain food quality standards, including monitoring cooking temperatures.
- Ensure employee safety on-site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Assist with window service and operate the POS system when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the truck kitchen, including sanitization and trash disposal.
- Monitor food temperatures to comply with health department regulations.
- Properly store and restock food items during shifts.
- Adhere to nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform end-of-day cleaning duties, including wiping down counters.
**Requirements:**
- Valid State Driver's License.
- Clean driving record with no accidents within the last 5 years.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Previous experience as a kitchen manager or shift leader preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing duties.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Manual dexterity.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to remain positive and patient under pressure.
- Good physical condition with endurance to stand for long periods and lift 30+ lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Culinary training is a plus.
- WA State Food Handlers Card.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting truck issues.
**Work Schedule:**
Serving days are Tuesday to Saturday, from 11 am to 7 pm. Managers will start the day around 8 am depending on the serving location. This position is part-time initially, with opportunities to work as a food truck server on other days.
**Pay:**
Dependent on Experience (DOE) + Tips. Training provided for suitable candidates.
