Food Service Worker - Providence Staffing LLC

Providence Staffing is seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Service Worker I-II to join our team in Brevard County, FL. The ideal candidate will provide friendly and professional service while ensuring the preparation and serving of food is conducted in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This role requires strong communication, basic math skills, and a commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide courteous and efficient service to students, staff, and other customers.
• Work collaboratively with team members in a noisy and dynamic environment.
• Operate and maintain basic food service equipment and machinery.
• Prepare and serve food according to established recipes and guidelines.
• Perform routine non-technical tasks, including food preparation, cleanup, and inventory management.
• Follow safety protocols, including wearing appropriate protective gear (e.g., hairnets, gloves).
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Communicate effectively with children and adults, ensuring a positive and functional environment.
• Accurately measure ingredients, calculate ratios and proportions, and manage inventory counts.

Qualifications:

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read and understand food labels and follow simple instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety practices in food service.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to teamwork and providing excellent service.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Capable of standing, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.

Compensation:
