Overview:

The Food Service Worker I is responsible for safely performing contract duties as assigned by management. Quality customer service is expected to be provided at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job is a requirement of the position. HIRING FOR WEEKEND AND EVENING SHIFTS 

Role Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 Must understand oral and/or written instructions.
 Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
 Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
 Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
 

Job Functions:

Must be able to perform the following work duties. Workstations may vary depending on contract
specifications, building assignments and/or shift assignments.

Line Server
 Set up hot and cold food serving stations.
 Serve customers properly sized portions at sufficient rates.
 Remove or refill hot and cold food items.
 Communicate with cooks, food runners, and supervisors when food items get low or run
out.
 Properly store and label food items.

Dining Room
 Clean salad and beverage bar areas and clean spills immediately.
 Clean tables after customer use.
 Refill napkin, straw, toothpick, and other food service dispensers.
 Cut, pan, or plate pastries and desserts.
 Prepare food items for serving or further cooking.

 Physical Requirements:

• May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change. May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon and/or evening hours as well weekends and Holidays. 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
