Responsibilities:
As our Food Services Director, your vital responsibilities include:
- Leading Excellence: Overseeing the Food Services Department with a commitment to excellence, managing programs and activities.
- Policy & Procedure: Collaborating on the development and maintenance of food services policies and procedures.
- Personnel Management: Crafting comprehensive job descriptions and conducting performance evaluations for food services personnel.
- Effective Communication: Clearly communicating departmental policies and procedures to all stakeholders.
- Standard Compliance: Providing guidance to the food services staff to ensure stringent compliance with standards.
- Safety Priority: Managing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) for hazardous chemicals and ensuring staff awareness.
- Administrative Duties: Efficiently handling administrative tasks, including reporting, equipment, and supply management.
- Recipe Management: Developing and maintaining a library of thoroughly tested standard recipes.
- Reporting & Recommendations: Preparing detailed reports and indispensable recommendations for the Administrator as needed.
- Incident Reporting: Ensuring the timely submission of accident and incident reports to Human Resources.
- Conflict Resolution: Addressing departmental complaints and personnel grievances with fairness and compassion.
- Quality Improvement: Assisting in quality improvement initiatives and collaborating on discharge planning for our residents.
- Surveys & Inspections: Actively participating in facility surveys and inspections.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience as a Food Services Director in a Nursing Home.
- Expertise: Proficiency in therapeutic diets.
- Certification: CDM Certification.
