Position Accountabilities/Duties:

 Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety standard and adheres to FOCUS Values.

·        Sets up0 patient trays, cafeteria, catered events in accordance with established schedule and procedures.

·        Cleans the kitchen area, cooking utensils and dishes.

·        Operates dishwasher to ensure all dishes and utensils arc les.

·        Prepares all menu items using standardized recipes.

·        Prepares coffee and urns for food service.

·        Prepares, loads, transports and cleans food carts.

·        Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

·        Maintains department records, reports and files as required.

·        Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.

·        Attends meetings as required.

·        Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

·        This position does not warrant access to patient records.

·        Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.  Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff.  Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

Restaurant/ serving experience preferred.

The ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures. Must be able to multitask.
