About the Position:
As a Food Runner / Kitchen Expeditor, you will assist servers with the delivery of food from the kitchen and ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering food to the correct tables and seat numbers while providing accurate and appealing descriptions of each dish.
• Communicating effectively with guests, addressing their needs, and anticipating requests before they are made.
• Assisting in the clearing, cleaning, and setup of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass, and silverware in a discreet manner.
• Greeting guests in a professional manner, serving food and beverages, and explaining menu items as needed.
• Assisting with stocking linens, china, glassware, silverware, and food items for service.
• Helping to prepare smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
• Supporting the breakdown, cleaning, and setup of buffets and food stations.
• Working harmoniously with co-workers to ensure efficient service and a positive atmosphere.

Who You Are:

• A minimum of one year of food service or related experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information accurately and professionally.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours and lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds.
• Previous experience in a luxury and/or Michelin-starred environment is highly desirable.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; culinary school education is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume, demanding environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle difficult situations and guests gracefully.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
