Primary Objective of Food Expo/Runner Position
To help maintain the efficiency of a restaurant kitchen by ensuring accurate delivery of dishes to the tables
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with service staff and kitchen staff
- Maintain awareness of factors such as food safetyand the temperature of the food
- Confirm that kitchen orders have been properly prepared according to house recipes and guest requests
- Ensure order is complete before it is deliveredto the table
- Delivers food to guests in the dining room and lounge
- Clears unnecessary items from tables as needed
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by attending to restaurantcustomer needs
- Keeps Kitchen window/pass through area clean and well stocked
- Informs server, hostess, manager or chef of any customerdissatisfaction
- Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules andprocedures

While performing theduties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; usehands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear andtaste or smell. The employee isfrequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, andlift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Theemployee is sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions, and frequentlyexposed to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, hot external surfacesof kitchen cooking equipment. The noiselevel in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
