QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language.
- Physically able to perform the assigned duties. Frequently required to lift up to at least 60 lbs., bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level. Occasionally required to drive automatic equipment or vehicles, and climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolds.
- Continuously required to work with machinery, walk, and stand.
- One or more years of food production experience and/or professional culinary training preferred. Including some supervision experience.

SALARY/PAYGRADE:
$18.29/NS6
Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2024-2025
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Direct all assigned food production within the department.
- Direct the proper handling of all foods in storage and their transfer to other departments.
- Assist in correcting problems with a production product.
- Complete the production schedule and have it ready for the weekly menu meeting.
- Maintain ongoing inventory and rotation of products.
- Attend the Sanitation Certification Class required by departmental guidelines. Comply with food handling procedures established by the Food Service Department and maintain sanitation standards at or above the level set by the Food Service Director.
- Comply with safety standards established by the Food Service Department. Report job-related accidents and/or injuries to the immediate supervisor within 24 hours of the incident.
- Participate in TASN classes to obtain certification of at least Level I.
- Comply with appropriate operational procedures and safety standards in the use of all equipment.
- Schedule ongoing training programs with food production workers in the department.
- Support the Food Service Department with regular and reliable attendance.
- Training food production workers in the department. Including coaching and performance indicators per policy and department/district handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Production Manager and/or the Food Service Director.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Standing for prolonged periods; walking; carrying; pushing/pulling and lifting over 60 pounds. May be required to perform job tasks in extremely hot and cold areas of the Food Production Center.
