Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 for UH Ahuja Medical Center located in Beachwood, OH. The Food Operations Manager 2 will direct and oversee all retail and catering food service at this130-bed hospital. The Food Operations Manager will be responsible for fostering and growing frontline staff members, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining relationships with the client.
Other tasks will include:
- Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation along with tray accuracy
- Menu Development and Innovation in a Retail setting
- Perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development
- Have knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets with strong management skills
- Will oversee Sodexo's At Your Request Room Service dining program, daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery
- Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient and Customer Experience and Satisfaction
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years food management experience, computer literacy as well as excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills. Prior food management experience in a health-care setting would be a plus for this role.

The ideal candidate:
- has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
- has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
- can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS), Health Touch (HT) and Market Connections (MSC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
