Food & Beverage Product Manager - Fortive Corporation

Anderson-Negele is seeking a Food & Beverage Product Manager to join our team! This role will serve as a mentor to colleagues by sharing industry knowledge and teaching them typical processing methods and common pain points within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Work closely with peers applying industry expertise to strategic growth projects by analyzing market and customer needs, segments, target customers, and generating messaging and content to drive product line growth. This position will be responsible for a defined product line, including forecasting and pricing, messaging, internal support, and product life cycle management.



In this position you will:





+ Mentor and share industry experience with other product managers and colleagues.



+ Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new business.



+ Develop and deliver training content for internal teams, including marketing and sales, as well as external channel partners to increase product knowledge and application expertise enabling them to effectively value sell the A-N product line to customers.



+ Take the lead on a set of products within the Anderson-Negele offering and act as the “go-to” within the company for knowledge of those products and their position in the market.



+ Lead cross functional teams through life cycle management products to streamline the portfolio or respond to external constraints.



+ Ensure detailed execution of projects and customer communication of changes.



+ Act as an escalation path for the front-line technical customer support team.



+ Provide product support for Manufacturing, Operations or other internal functions as needed.



+ Monitor product pricing, lead product specific price/margin improvement initiatives and participate in global price changes.



+ Learn critical initiatives, financial analysis, Dream phase deliverables, customer jobs-to-be-done.




Qualification and job requirements





+ 8+ years of experience in a technical role in a food and beverage processing plant or in a sales or engineering role for a system integrator/ OEM that manufactures equipment for use in hygienic processing environments.



+ Deep knowledge of food and beverage process manufacturing environments, common applications and processing equipment is required.



+ High level understanding of how sensors, and other process equipment are typically controlled monitored, and controlled through in plant automation.



+ 2+ years of proven experience in product management, technical support, and/or sales with hardware products is preferred.



+ Understanding of common quality and safety standards & regulations that apply to food and beverage processing is preferred.



+ Bachelors in Marketing, Engineering, or other technical subject area preferred.



+ Ability & desire to work with customers, translating their needs and desires into products and solutions



+ Excellent communications skills (oral and written) a must!



+ Proven ability to work across functions (engineering, sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance, etc.)



+ 2 days/week required in either Spartanburg, SC or Fultonville, NY (hybrid work)



+ Up to 25% travel required

National: The salary range for this position is $79,700 - $147,900


This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.



Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
