We are currently seeking an Entry level FMS Financial Analyst to join our team in Arlington, VA and at the Washington Navy Yard. What you'll do: The FMS Financial Analyst will support the Office of NAVSEA's Director for Surface Ship Maintenance and Modernization with the day-to-day management of Security Assistance Programs and assigned Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases. Responsibilities: * Provide financial management support and expertise in coordination with the Government financial manager for multiple customer / country programs. * Identify funding issues, prepare corrective packages, deobligate unused funds, and support the Government financial managers in reconciling FMS case financials, and responding to Program Reviews, Financial Reviews and case closure efforts. * Track the development and execution of FMS budgets and funding documents including Obligational Authority (OA) Worksheets, Work Requests, and Procurement Requests.
* Use knowledge of FMS financial reconciliation to support the Government financial managers in reconciling FMS case financials, and responding to Program Reviews, Financial Reviews and case closure efforts
* Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC's clients. Travel is not anticipated in this role.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from a school accredited in the United States
* Prior FMS Financial experience preferred.
* At least one year of experience supporting U.S. Navy program offices
* Familiarity with Security Cooperation Information Portal (SCIP), MISIL, DIFS and MOCAS
* Residency in geographic proximity to attend meetings in-person at the Washington Navy Yard, as required by Government.
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance
* Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
* The ability to provide support remotely or onsite at MBC Headquarters
* Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid Compensation Policy: Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer.
