We are seeking a dedicated and organized Floor Manager who plans, organizes, and monitors all inventory functions. Responsible for movement and storage of all products received from suppliers. Ensures a smooth and consistent operation so products are located and distributed to proper isles and bins in an effective and efficient manner. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in stocking and display of inventory. Verifies all inventory is accurate in the system and on floor. Ensures all product procedures including FIFO and date codes are followed by the team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in warehouse management, comfortable driving a high reach truck and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Control: Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient space utilization.
- Product Handling: Oversee the handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Team Management: Supervise multiple forklift operators and stockers, providing guidance and support as needed to optimize workflow.
- Waste Documentation: Process incoming and outgoing waste documentation, maintaining accurate records in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe and clean work environment by enforcing safety, health, and security rules, and carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Hands-On Support: Assist workers in shipping and receiving activities as needed to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Strong people management skills, with experience supervising teams in a warehouse setting.
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods working in front of a computer and occasionally performing physical labor.
